I was looking at Fernpeople (Montaland series) and trying to decide what to highlight about that story. Benk stood out. And when I thought about it, Curl stands out in the Tarth series for the same reason. Both are downright mischievous. They were fun to write about because they are unpredictable and tend to speak their minds. At the same time, they are basically (for the most part) on the right side.
